SAE 15B30 Boron Steel. 15B30 is a carbon-boron steel produced in accordance with the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) chemical composition limits. 15B30 is a carbon steel with boron added to enhance the hardenability, strength and wear resistance compared to plain carbon steels of the same carbon content.
